Info for clients

General Info

I draw the tattoo the day of the appointment (any small changes can be made in the appointment). I do make exceptions for designs I haven’t done before so please inquire. For micro-realism I use the realistic photo as a reference, so I won’t do a full drawing, just a stencil.

Please continue communication through email thread (dm’s on instagram are unnecessary).

Wear appropriate clothing to allow enough space to work around.

Feel free to bring different clothes specifically for the photo afterwards, neutral colours and minimalist styles are prefered. Please let me know if you prefer not to be photographed/posted on social media; it’s totally up to you. I’ll make a note of it on the booking.

Quotes are approximate. Taxes are additional.

After Care

Initial Heal

In the first 24 to 48 hours, it is important to get a lot of rest, hydrate and eat lots of good food to give your body the best chance of healing your new tattoo.

It is recommended to not take part in strenuous exercise in the first four days.

Saniderm bandage

Leave the saniderm bandage on for up to 7 days. I recommend this for medium to large tattoos. This is because the skin has more healing to do than small tattoos.

Saniderm is ideal for healing a tattoo because it keeps blood and plasma in the bandage, this will help the skin to heal. And it keeps harmful bacteria and fibers out of the fresh wound.

Keep an eye on the tattoo over the 7 days while the bandage is on. If you are experiencing excessive pain or inflammation remove the bandage, clean the tattoo, and replace the bandage with the extra one provided.

Removing the bandage

In a warm to hot shower hold the bandaged tattoo under the water. The heat should make it easier to remove the bandage.

Pull the bandage away from the skin, do this slowly. Once the bandage is off do not try to scrub off any adhesive residue on your skin. The residue will fall off over the coming days.

Do not scrub off any scabbing or ink from the tattoo. Its best to let these parts fall off in the coming days.

Avoid:

  • submerging the tattoo in water

  • Exposing to sun rays

  • Excessive friction from clothes or anything in your environment

  • Scratching, when it gets itchy, you can slap the tattoo for some relief

Cleaning

After the bandage is removed keep the tattoo clean by washing it twice a day and wearing freshly laundered clothes and bed sheets.

If you notice irritation it might be from scented laundry detergent.

Moisturizing

Wash hands before applying. Use a light layer of moisturizing lotion throughout the day, anytime the tattoo seems dry.

Products with the least amount of ingredients are the best. Organic shea butter is great.

Good Habits

A great contributor to the healing and the ultimate quality of your tattoo is your lifestyle.

If you are in the habit of exercising, resting, moisturizing, hydrating and eating good food your tattoo will have the best chance and healing.
